Now that the UK has left the EU, the way we export to Europe has now changed. We would like to reassure all our customers that we are prepared for this transition:
- GCT will be using an intermediary with regards to Customs declarations
- GCT will ensure that the EORI number is on our delivery notes and Invoices
- GCT will ensure that all wood packaging between the UK and EU will meet
international standards and will have undergone heat treatment and marking
- GCT will ensure all tariff codes relevant to the product are on the despatch paperwork and invoices
What we will require in the first instance from our European Customers
- We will need to ensure that we know our customers VAT number and EORI number before we can ship the goods. This will be required for all Customs declarations
- If you arrange your own collection of goods purchased from us, we will need to receive copies of all customs declarations. We will need these copies for our customs records to ensure we can invoice you without charging you UK VAT
